ok. so I haven’t been here in a while because we had bad weather with the power out for 3 days. I got to hear the real activation of the emergency broadcast system..NOT a test! crazy. I didn’t think we could really have tornadoes here because we are so close to the mountains..but I guess I was wrong! It was so scary. Gave me flashbacks to being little in S.D. and having to run to the basement when the siren went off, only this time I don’t have a basement. I live in a tornadoes dream of a house- a “modular home” which really is a nice way of saying a double wide trailer ROTFL. So, we had to hide out in the closet when the EBS went off. I thought it was going to be it for us, the tornadoes were so close. We had some damage, mostly the problem was the trees over the power lines, something my neighbor was supposed to get taken care of a long time ago. I ended up with crashed power lines.

So now is the cleanup. finally have power again. I took a shower and drank some coffee immediately. I have a massive caffeine withdrawal headache that combined with allergies and a new storm front coming in to turn into a massive migraine..and of course no excedrine to be found in the house. Had to clean out the fridge and all the stuff that went bad because of no power. Then it was off to the store to restock. and get headache stuff. which I proceeded to down in the car LOL. All in all we are lucky. no major damage. the time without power gave me time to think. I thought perhaps S.O. would be worried about us..his mother was. she left me off-line messages very concerned. The last contact I had with him we were having a bit of a tiff. So I called him as soon as we had power and he was just cranky instead. but thats for a different post!
